๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ How Our Insurance & Security Deposit Works (Read Before Booking) Tap to understand

The Simple Rule: You can either pay a Daily Insurance Fee to lower your risk, OR you can keep the money and take the risk yourself (High Deposit).

Think of the Daily Fee as a small price to transfer the "Headache of Liability" from You to Us.

๐Ÿ’ธ What is "Non-Refundable"? The Daily Insurance Fee. This is the cost of the service to protect you. Just like travel insurance, this money is not returned.
๐Ÿ’ฐ What is "Refundable"? The Security Deposit. This is YOUR money. We just hold it as trust. If the car returns safe, 100% of this money goes back to you.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ The Touristโ€™s Guide to Driving in Hurghada (2026 Edition)

“Is it safe to drive in Hurghada?” This is the #1 question we get at Brothers EGY. The answer is: Yes, absolutely. Unlike the busy streets of Cairo, Hurghada offers wide coastal roads, beautiful scenery, and relaxed traffic. Here is everything you need to know to drive like a local.

1. The "Language" of Lights (Crucial Tip!) ๐Ÿ’ก

In Europe, if a driver flashes their lights at you, it means “Go ahead.” In Egypt, it is the opposite. If a car behind you or approaching you flashes their lights, it means: “I am coming through, do not move!” or “I am overtaking you.”

  • Rule: If someone flashes you, stay in your lane and let them pass.

Police radars are common on the Ring Road and the highway to El Gouna/Soma Bay.

  • City Limits: 60 km/h.

  • Open Coastal Road: 90 km/h or 100 km/h (Watch for signs).

  • Tip: Brothers EGY cars are maintained to handle these roads perfectly, but speeding fines are real. Stick to the limit!

You will see checkpoints on the roads to El Gouna or the Airport. This is for your safety.

  • What to do: Slow down, turn on your interior light (at night), and smile.

  • Documents: Show your Rental Contract (from Brothers EGY) and your Driver’s License.

  • Tourists: Police are very friendly to tourists. They usually just wave you through.

One of the best parts of renting in Egypt is the fuel cost.

  • Gas Stations: Use reputable stations like ChillOut, Wataniya, or Mobil.

  • Fuel Type: We recommend 92 Octane or 95 Octane for our fleet (MG, Hyundai, Kia).

  • Service: You don’t pump your own gas. An attendant will do it for you. A small tip (10-20 EGP) is polite.

Once you have your car, here is where you should go:

  • The El Gouna Run (25 mins): A smooth, straight highway drive north to the “Venice of Egypt.” Perfect for a seafood lunch at the Marina.

  • The Sahl Hasheesh Loop (30 mins): Drive south to see the beautiful “Old Town” and sunken city.

  • The Soma Bay Cruise (45 mins): A longer, peaceful desert-meets-sea drive. Ideal for the Jetour X70 or 7-Seater trips.
